Lewis Moore, the son of the late Harry (Ed) Moore and Ora Edna Coleman Moore, was born in Wappapello on Sept. 6, 1916, and died at the Puxico Nursing Center in Puxico on Tuesday, July 29, 2003, at the age of 86. Mr. Moore had lived all his life in the Dudley and Puxico areas. He was a member of the Bluff City United Pentecostal Church in Poplar Bluff. He had been a farmer and managed and owned Puxico Stock Yards & Auction for twenty years. On May 16, 1935, he was married to Artie Pearl Andrews in Poplar Bluff. She preceded him in death on Feb. 2, 1997. Surviving are one son, James Moore of Dudley; one daughter, Betty Mattingly of Dudley; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one brother, William Franklin Moore of Poplar Bluff. Visitation will be held after 6 p.m. on Thursday, July 31, 2003, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Puxico. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 1, 2003, at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Puxico with Bro. Ted Elledge of Poplar Bluff officiating. Interment will follow in the Little Brushy Cemetery in Wappapello with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Puxico in charge of arrangements.
