Nina Arnold, daughter of the late Albert Andrew Anderson and Nettie Blagg Anderson, was born on Nov. 19, 1915, at Aid and departed this life in the St. Luke's Hospital in Kansas City on Wednesday, March 19, 2003, at the age of 87. Mrs. Arnold was a member of the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Dexter, a long-time business woman and active in the community. She was past president of the Soroptomist Club, the Business and Professional Women's Club, local and regional chapters of the P.T.A., past worthy matron of the Order of Eastern Star #311, instrumental in the development of the Little Miss Dexter Contest and other organizations. After her birth in Aid, she moved to Red and Bernie and at the age of 10, her family moved to Dexter where she resided for 77 years. She was united in marriage to Claude Arnold on Feb. 14, 1951, at Malvern, Ark. Mr. Arnold preceded her in death on Feb. 2, 1995. Survivors include one daughter, Sandra Luetje and husband Charles of Olathe, Kan.; one step-daughter, Claudine Reak of Albuquerque, N.M.; three grandchildren, Chucker Luetje, Andrew Luetje and wife Jana, all of Kansas City, Kan., and Kevin Luetje and wife Zehra of Sarasota, Fla.; five great-grandchildren, Zainab, Jacob and Stone Luetje, all of Sarasota, Fla., Sam and George Luetje, both of Kansas City, Mo.; three step-grandchildren, Linda Puzak and husband David of Albuquerque, N.M., Dana Ferguson and husband David of Big Sandy, Texas, and Beverly Carson and husband Christopher of Albuquerque, N.M.; seven step-great-grandchildren, Michael, Jerrod and Sara Puzak, Michaela, Christopher, and David Carson, all of Albuquerque, N.M., and Lecia Ferguson of Big Sandy, Texas; one sister, Opal Montgomery of Thayer; and one brother, James "Pot" Anderson of Dexter. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one brother, Marvin Anderson and two sisters in infancy. Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter from 6-8 p.m. today, Friday, March 21, 2003. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 22, 2003, in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Rev. Vaughn Wright officiating. Interment will follow in the Dexter Cemetery. PAID
