Jerry Lane

Walter William "Jerry" Lane, son of the late J.B. Lane and Ruble Snider Lane, was born on Feb. 17, 1942, at Essex and died in his residence at Hazelwood on Friday, March 14, 2003, at the age of 61. He was of the Baptist faith, a retired employee of Ford Motor Company at Hazelwood, had previously served in the National Guard, a resident of Hazelwood, formerly of Essex. Survivors include one brother, Rick Lane of Essex; and three sisters, LaNeal Weidenbenner of Belleville, Ill., Shelba Mofield and Hazel Mouser, both of Dexter. Visitation was held from 5-8 p.m. Sunday, March 16, 2003, at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter. Funeral services were conducted at 10 a.m. Monday, March 17, 2003, in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Rev. Phil Warren officiating. Interment followed in the Dexter Cemetery. Memorials may be made to charity of donor's choice.
