Aaron Ray Brannon, Sr., 91, son of the late Henry Brannon and Alice Trout Brannon, was born on Feb. 19, 1912, at Point Pleasant and died Thursday, Feb. 20, 2003, at Missouri Southern Healthcare in Dexter. On Oct. 1, 1932, he was married to Ruby Mae Fox at Portageville, and she preceded him in death on Sept. 10, 1999. She was a past member of Parma School Board, and she was of the Protestant faith. Survivors include four sons: Charles Wayne Brannon of Navarre, Fla., Aaron Brannon, Jr., and Stanley Brannon, both of Parma, and Gordon Brannon of Broken Arrow, Okla.; five daughters, Joy Elaine Austin of Bloomfield, Dowanda Murphy of Dexter, Erma Mayo of Blytheville, Ark., Brenda Butler of Greenville, Miss., and Sharon Wagner of Parma; 17 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one infant son, one grandson, and two sisters, Gertrude McAdoo and Truma Fox. Visitation was held at 6 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 22, 2003, at Bradshaw Funeral Home in Malden. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. today, Sunday, Feb. 23, 2003, at Bradshaw Chapel in Malden with Mr. Dan Hargrave officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery at Malden.
