Tony Ward Miller, 54, Springfield, died at 9:59 p.m. Monday, Jan. 13, 2003, in his home after a long illness. He was born on Nov. 8, 1948, in Dexter to Harold and Delores Miller. They both preceded him in death. He was a decorated Army helicopter pilot in Vietnam, where he served two terms and received the Army Aviator Badge, two Bronze Star medals, Vietnam Campaign medal, Air Medal with V-Device with numeral three, and the distinguished Flying Cross with three oak leaf clusters. Mr. Miller is survived by his two daughters, Sarah Jane Rosendahl, Springfield, and Michelle Renee Miller of Boynton Beach, Fla.; three grandchildren; two brothers, Donald Miller of St. Louis and Danny Miller of Phoenix, Ariz.; and his grandmother, Naomi Miller of Dexter. Memorial graveside services with military rites by the Veteran's Memorial Team were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2003, at the Missouri Veteran's Cemetery under direction of Klingner Mortuary. Memorial donations may be made to the D.A.V.
