Delores LaQuita Knuckles, 69, of Sikeston, died at her rural residence Friday, Jan. 3, 2003, due to an accidental house fire that destroyed her home. She was born Jan. 13, 1933, near Canalou to the late William "Bill" and Vernia Rainwater Landers. She was a member of the Calvary Temple Assembly of God in Sikeston, had been a member of the Sikeston Area Chamber of Commerce, and served on the Chamber Board of Directors. She was married to Lloyd Knuckles on Aug. 17, 1986, in Piggott, Ark., and he survives of the home in Sikeston. She is also survived by two sons, Ralph Sexton, Jr. and Bill Sexton, both of Sikeston; one daughter, Diane Pearson of Sikeston; one step-son, Kurt Knuckles of Chaffee; one step-daughter, Leah Honsaker of Cleveland, Ohio; one brother, Gene Landers of Dexter; seven grandchildren; and four step-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by four brothers and four sisters. Visitation was held from 5-8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 6, 2003, at the Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston. Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2003, in the Nunnelee Funeral Chapel with Rev. Larry Davis officiating. Interment followed in Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston.
