Max Lynn Putnam, son of Vivian Perry Putnam and the late G.E. Putnam, was born on May 16, 1939, at Dexter and died in the Missouri Southern Healthcare at Dexter on Sept. 15, 2002, at the age of 63. Mr. Putnam was a truck driver during his life, was employed at Southeast Coop in Dexter, and was a resident of Bernie. He was united in marriage to Jean Williams on June 9, 1956, at Bernie. To this union three children were born. Survivors include his wife Jean Putnam of Bernie; three daughters, Teresa Hutchcraft, Tammy Brown and Kelly Urhahn, all of Dexter; four grandsons, Garett Hutchcraft, Justin Hutchcraft, Bradley Brown and Myles Urhahn, all of Dexter; one granddaughter, Macy Urhahn of Dexter; three sons-in-law, David Hutchcraft, Michael Brown and Derek Urhahn, all of Dexter; by his mother, Vivian Putnam of Bernie; and three brothers, Harold Putnam of Warrenton, Larry Putnam of Phillipsburg, and Gary Putnam of Dexter. Visitation will be held from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. today, Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2002, at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Bernie. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2002, in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Rev. Dean Williams and Rev. Kenneth Biggs officiating. Interment will follow in the Bernie Cemetery. PAID
