Marylian Moseley Streiff, the daughter of the late Jessie Detie and Josephine Detie Carter, was born Oct. 9, 1926 in Portageville and died Wednesday, April 17, 2002 in the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, at the age of 75. Marylian was a member of the North Acres General Baptist Church. She was a dietary supervisor at Missouri Delta Medical Center before retiring in June of 1988. On Jan. 9, 1942 she was united in marriage to Gene Moseley and he preceded her in death. She later married Pete Streiff, who also preceded her in death. Survivors include three sons, Bobby Joe Moseley of Rockford, Ill., Michael Wayne Moseley and Donald Ray Moseley, both of Sikeston; one daughter, Barbara Jean Moseley Theohar of St. Louis; 13 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. Besides her husbands and parents, she was preceded in death by one infant brother. Visitation will be held at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston from 5 - 8 p.m. on Thursday, April 18. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, April 19 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Joe McCullough, pastor of Fellowship Baptist Church officiating. Interment will follow in the Essex Cemetery with Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston in charge of arrangements.
