Harold L. Putnam, son of Vivian "Vip" Putnam and the late G.E. Putnam was born on Jan. 28, 1942 at Dexter and departed this life on Monday, May 5, 2003 in O'Fallon at the age of 61. Mr. Putnam was owner and operator of K and K Pallets of Wright City and was a resident of O'Fallon. He was a member of the Bernie Masonic Lodge and was of the Baptist Faith. He was united in marriage to Karen Medlin. Survivors include his wife, Karen Putnam of the home in O'Fallon; one son, Scott B. Putnam and wife, Carla, of Warrenton; one daughter, Robin M. Putnam of St. Charles; two brothers, Gary Putnam and wife, Joanne of Dexter and Larry Putnam and wife, Bonnie of Dexter; one sister-in-law, Jean Putnam of Bernie; and one granddaughter, Dray Putnam. He was preceded in death by his father, G.E. Putnam; and one brother, Max Putnam. Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Bernie, Saturday, May 10, 2003 from 4 - 7 p.m. A memorial service will be conducted at 7 p.m. on Saturday, May 10, 2003 in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Bernie with Rev. Dean Williams officiating. A Masonic Service will be conducted at that time. Mr. Putnam has donated his body to science at Logan College in St. Louis.
