H. Musgraves

Harry C. Musgraves, Jr. was born Feb. 18, 1921, in Van Buren County, Ark. He died April 10, 2003, at Barnes Hospital, St. Louis, after a lengthy illness. Mr. Musgraves was the son of Harry C. Musgraves, Sr. and Cora Williams Musgraves. His father passed away four days before he was born, and Mrs. Musgraves then married William H. Hasler and the family moved to Missouri in 1937. He resided in the Clines Island Community, Essex, until entering the Air Force in World War II. He was an employee of Midwest Pipe, St. Louis, until retiring to Piedmont, where he resided until his passing. Mr. Musgraves is survived by his wife, Virginia, of the home in Piedmont; one son, Charle Eugene Musgraves of St. Louis; two daughters, Judy Musgraves of Houston, Texas, and Barbara Landa of St. Louis; several grandchildren; three brothers, Elmer Hasler of Johnson City, Ill., Welton Hasler of Louisville, Ky., and William Hasler, Jr. of Fort Collins, Colo.; two sisters, Etta Autry of Sheridan, Ark., and Lovina Hasler Ivy of Dexter. Visitation was at the Morreson Funeral Home in Piedmont from 5-8 p.m. Sunday, April 13, 2003. Funeral service was at 1 p.m. Monday, April 14, 2003, with Lonnie Autry, nephew of Mr. Musgraves, officiating.
