Carl E. Conner

Carl E. Conner was born Oct. 23, 1929 at Wappapello and died at his residence in Puxico on Sunday, March 17, 2002, at the age of 72. He had lived in the Wappapello and Puxico areas all his life and was a farmer and timber worker. On Nov. 15, 1955, he was united in marriage to Wanda L. Waters and she survives of the home in Puxico. Other survivors include four sons, Jamie E. Conner, William D. Conner, Jackie D. Conner and Carl. J. Conner, all of Puxico; three daughters, Karen Riddell of Malden, Donna Fay Overton of Puxico and Darlene Warrick of Decatur, Ill.; six brothers, Harvey Conner of Sullivan, Ralph Conner of Toppenish, Wash., A.J. Conner of Louisianna, Mo., Claudie Conner of Troy, Francis Conner of Pendelton, Ore., and Roy Conner of Puxico; three sisters, Lorene Grimes and Margaret Jones, both of Dexter, and Betty Payne of Puxico; 17 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Patrica Lynn Conner. Visitation will be held this evening, Tuesday, March 19, 2002, at 6 p.m. in the White-Sanders Funeral Home at Fisk. Funeral services will be conducted in the White-Sanders Funeral Chapel at 11 a.m., Wednesday, March 20 with Rev. Tim Hedge officiating. Interment will follow in Little Brush Cemetery at Wappapello with White-Sanders Funeral Home of Fisk in charge of arrangements.
