Geraldine "Neeley" Caldwell, daughter of the late William Frank Kelly and Hettie Rosetta Pruett Kelly, was born on Oct. 3, 1925 at Senath and died in the Missouri Southern Healthcare at Dexter on March 11, 2002, at the age of 76. Mrs. Caldwell attended the Oneness Pentecostal Church of Dexter, was a homemaker and a resident of Bernie. She was first united in marriage to Gene Neeley, who preceded her in death. She then married Ellis Caldwell and he preceded her in death on March 11, 1982. Survivors include six sons, Johnny Wayne Bruce of Atlanta, Ga., Frankie Bruce of Edwards, Miss., Ernest Neeley of Bernie, Hubert Neeley and Richard Neeley, both of Dexter, and Ronnie Neeley of Bernie; four daughters, Dianna Gramlich of Greenville, Jerry Lynn of Kennett, Flossie Ellis of Aztec, N.M. and Rosalee Miller of Puxico; five step-sons, Everett Neeley, Ralph Neeley, Leon Neeley, Wayne Neeley and Bud Neeley; two step-daughters, Louise Neeley and Pat Neeley; one brother, Jay Kelly of New York, N.Y.; 21 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Besides her husbands and parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Homer Gene Neeley; and by three sisters, Ann Manning, Macella Beanard and Nancy Kelly. Visitation will be held at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Bernie from 5 - 8 p.m., Wednesday, March 13. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m., Thursday, March 14 in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Rev. Danny Collins officiating. Interment will follow in the Stanfield Cemetery in rural Clarkton with Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home of Bernie in charge of arrangements.
