Toby Walker

Richard "Toby" Walker of Arab, the son of the late William and Margaret Oliver Walker, was born Dec. 22, 1944 at Zalma and died March 10, 2002 at the Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau, at the age of 57. Toby worked for the local #1770 Carpenters Union for 35 years, was a farmer and a veteran of the United States Army. He was united in marriage to Lucille Boyd on March 2, 1968 at Arab, she survives of the home. Besides his wife, he is survived by one son, Kevin Walker of Puxico; one daughter, Kim Nanney of Holts Summit, Mo.; by four brothers, LeRoy Walker and Bud Walker, both of McGee, Bob Walker of Faunsdale, Ala. and Ted Walker of Advance; by two sisters, Billie Jo Morris of St. Louis and Ann Welker of Brownwood; and four grandchildren. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother and one sister. Visitation was held at the Morgan Funeral Home in Advance on Monday, March 11 from 5 - 8 p.m. Graveside services were conducted, today, Tuesday, March 12 at 11 a.m. at the Stephens Cemetery near McGee with Ruth Doublin officiating. Interment followed with Morgan Funeral Home of Advance in charge of arrangements.
