Anita Diane Jacobs, the daughter of Leon Cox and the late Delores Nelson Moore, was born in Dexter on June 13, 1972 and died at her home in Sikeston on March 5, 2002, at the age of 29. Ms. Jacobs was a former resident of Gary, Ind. for eight years, Parma for 13 years and had lived in Sikeston for the past four years. She had attended the Parma and New Madrid Schools and was a member of the Pilgrim's Rest Missionary Baptist Church in Canalou. Surviving are three sons, Christopher Bonner, Darrius Jacobs, and Torres Jacobs, all of Sikeston; one daughter, Kaysha Jacobs of Sikeston; her father, Leon Cox of Parma; two brothers, Robert Louis Jacobs of Minneapolis, Minn. and Antoine Lamond Moore of Sikeston; five sisters, Beverly Lee of Sikeston, Debra Nelson, Janice Jacobs, and Sylvia Jacobs, all of Milwaukee, Wis. and Armentha Jacobs of Ft. Wayne, Ind.; three step-brothers and three step-sisters. Visitation will be held on Monday, March 11 after 10 a.m. at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter. Funeral services will then be conducted on, Monday March 11 at 12 p.m. in the Watkins & Sons Funeral Chapel with Elder Moses Grayson of Essex officiating. Interment will be at the Macedonia Cemetery in Malden with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
