Ezra Hart

Ezra Melton Hart was born Aug. 29, 1921 in Parma, Mo. and died Feb. 27, 2002 in Yuma, AZ., where he lived since 1986. He was the son of the late Martin Allen Hart and Hannah Melton Hart. Ezra was preceded in death by six older brothers, one sister and his youngest child, Clara Jo (Jody). He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Geneva, and five children, Jean Hart (Alexander Zatarain) of Los Altos, CA., Larry Hart (Sandra Hart) of Cathlamet, WA., Kay Hart (David Patterson) of Portland, OR., Michael Hart of Vancouver, WA., and Stephen Hart (Sharon Hart) of Cathlamet, WA. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and friends, all of whom will miss him. Ezra was a member of the United Methodist Church since early adultdhood. He was also a member of the Longview-Kelso B.P.O.E. and a past president of the Kelso Lion's Club. He had many interests including wood working, stringed musical instruments, and gardening. Ezra's sense of humor and gregarious nature were his defining characteristics. A memorial service will be held at Gila Mountain United Methodist Church, 12716 N. Frontage Road in Yuma, AZ. 85367. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the building fund for the Gila Mountain United Methodist Church or to the charity of choice. PAID
