Leonard E. Larson, Jr. son of Angeline Hosna Carlson of Parkers Praire, Minn. and the late Leonard E. Larson, Sr., was born on Nov. 24, 1936 in Bertha, Minn. and died in the emergency room of the Missouri Southern Healthcare in Dexter on Feb. 23, 2002, at the age of 65. Mr. Larson was a member of the Faith Lutheran Church in Dexter, he was a retired Federal Meat Inspector for the USDA, a Veteran of the United States Army serving in Korea and a resident of Dexter. He was united in marriage to Leota Daniel on August 5, 1961 at Vandervoort, Ark. and she survives of the home in Dexter. Survivors include one daughter, Ramona Lemons of Dexter; his mother, Angeline Carlson of Parkers Prairie, Minn.; one brother, Thomas D. Larson of Roucerville, Penn.; one sister, Marion Lindsey of Alexandria, Minn.; and by two grandchildren. Visitation was held at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter from 5 - 8 p.m., Monday, Feb. 25. Funeral services were conducted today, Feb. 26, at 10:30 a.m. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Pastor Adam Mueller officiating. Interment followed in the Caroline-Dowdy Cemetery near Dexter with Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
