Annice Mae Mirly of Advance, the daughter of the late Benjamin and Nora Davenport Sadler, was born Nov. 21, 1918 at Oak Ridge, Mo. and died Feb. 22, 2002 at St. Frances Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, at the age of 83. Annice was a homemaker. She was very involved in school activities while her daughters were in school. She made costumes, baked and volunteered at many of their functions. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Annice and Edwin Albert Mirly were united in marriage on Jan. 16, 1938 at Shawneetown, Mo. and he preceded her in death on Aug. 24, 2000. Survivors include two daughters, Doris Middleton of Advance and Ruth Ann Tolle of Hanford, Calif.; three brothers, Leroy Sadler of Whitewater, Joe Sadler of Peoria, Ill. and James Sadler of Cape Girardeau; four sisters, Shirley Buchannon of Peoria, Ill., Joyce Stein of Niagara, Mo., Norma Peck of Bemidji, Minn. and Janet Maevers of Mill Spring, Mo.; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one brother and three sisters. Visitation will be held at the Morgan Funeral Home in Advance on Sunday, Feb. 24 from 4:30 - 8 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m., Monday, Feb. 25 in the Morgan Funeral Chapel with Pastor Wayne Schwiesow officiating. Interment will follow at the Morgan Memorial Park in Advance with Morgan Funeral Home of Advance in charge of arrangements.
