Betty L. Donley

Betty Lou Donley of Chaffee, the daughter of the late George and Beulah Yount Leadbetter, was born Aug. 29, 1941 in Marquand and died Feb. 17, 2002 at the Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau, at the age of 60. Betty was a homemaker. She was united in marriage to Buford Donley on March 31, 1960 and he preceded her in death on Dec. 20, 1991. She is survived by three sons, Ray Donley and Terry Donley, both of Greenbrier, and Timmy Donley of Sturdivant; by three daughters, Judy Oliphant of Puxico, Vicky Rodgers of Advance and Connie Perry of Crump; by two brothers, Charles Leadbetter of Arbyrd, Mo. and George Leadbetter of Maysville, Ky.; by three sisters, Ruby Pender of Hornersville, Shirly Gattis and Dorothy Palmer, both of Senath; and by 11 grandchildren. Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one brother. Visitation was held on Feb. 18, from 5:30 - 8 p.m. at the Morgan Funeral Home in Advance. Funeral services were conducted at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 19 in the Morgan Funeral Chapel with Rev. Gene West officiating. Interment followed at the Morgan Memorial Park in Advance with Morgan Funeral Home of Advance in charge of arrangements.
