Carolyn Tate Gould of Cape Girardeau, the daughter of the late Robert and Vivian Tate, was born Jan. 13, 1936 in Greene County, Ark. and died Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2002 at the Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau, at the age of 66. Mrs. Gould was formerly of Paragould, Ark. She was a member of West End Church of Christ in Cape Girardeau, a retired school teacher from Dexter School District, a member of Missouri State Teachers Association and Missouri Home Economics Association. Survivors include her husband, Rex W. Gould of Cape Girardeau; three sons, Rex. T. Gould of St. Louis, Courtney L. Gould of Lexington, Ky. and Creighton A. Gould of Cape Girardeau; and three grandchildren. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death one sister, Sandra Kay Jones. Graveside services will be held at the New Bethel Cemetery in Paragould at 3 p.m., Friday, Feb. 15 with Rev. Bryan McCallister officiating. Interment will follow with Mitchell Funeral Home in Paragould, Ark. in charge of arrangements. The family requests that memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, Attn: Customer service, 1701 North Beauregard St., Alexandria, Va. 22311.
