Marlin Dunn, son of the late John Dunn and Minnie Overfield Dunn, was born on March 22, 1936 at Uniontown, Ky. and died in the Southeast Missouri Hospital on Nov. 12, 2001, at the age of 65. Mr. Dunn was the owner of 225 Package Store in Dexter, a veteran of the United States Army and a resident of Dexter. He was united in marriage to JoAnn Koch on June 10, 1978 at Oak Lawn, Ill., she survives of the home in Dexter. Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, Patrick Dunn of New Caney, Texas and Eric Dunn of the home in Dexter; by one daughter, Marla Speakman of Lake Benton, Minn.; by one step-daughter, Nicole Crowley of Woodridge, Ill.; by three brothers, James Dunn of Uniontown, Ky., Roy Dunn of Morganfied, Ky. and Sylvester Lyle Dunn of Sylvester, Ga.; by five sisters, Imogene Linton, Shirley Carley, and Kay Minton, all of Uniontown, Ky., Patricia Nally and Alice Corsi, both of Cleveland, Ohio; by four grandchildren and two step-grandchildren. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Andrea Dunn; by one brother, Albert Dunn; and by one sister, Martha Gregory. Visitation will be held at the Rainey Funeral Home in Dexter from 5 - 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 13. Funeral services will be conducted in the Rainey Funeral Chapel at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 14 with Rev. Adam Mueller officiating. Interment will follow in the Dexter Cemetery with Rainey Funeral Home of Dexter in charge of all arrangements.
