Russell Clay DeVore of Bradenton, Fla. was born Aug. 4, 1935 and died at the Manatee Memorial Hospital in Brandenton on Oct. 30, 2001, at the age of 66. Mr. DeVore was a retired vending operator for Vendomatic Sales Company, Inc. in Dexter, a member of 10th Street Baptist Church in Palmetto, Fla., was past president of Three Rivers Shrine Club in Poplar Bluff, was a member of Dexter Elks Lodge and a member of Sahib Shrine Temple in Sarasota. He moved to Manatee County from Dexter 1-1/2 years ago. He is survived by his wife, Shirley DeVore of the home; by three sons, Russell L. DeVore of Dexter, William Stacy DeVore of Doniphan and William D. Grimm of Dexter; by two daughters, Sabrena Ryan of Gatewood and Kelly Grim of Dexter; by one sister, Elva DeVore of Covington, Ga.; and by 13 grandchildren. Visitation will be held at the Griffith-Cline Funeral Home, Manatee Avenue Chapel, 720 Manatee Ave. W., Bradenton, Fla. on Friday, Nov. 2 from 12 - 1 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted at the Griffith-Cline Funeral Home, Manatee Avenue Chapel on Nov. 2 at 1 p.m. with Rev. Dennis Tabor officiating. Interment will follow in the Bethany Baptist Cemetery in Myakka City, Fla. with Griffith-Cline Funeral Home in charge of all arrangements.
