James Harley Sinning, son of the late George Sinning and Henrietta Osterloo Sinning, was born on March 20, 1936, in Lennox, S.D. and died in his residence in Dexter on Tuesday, July 15, 2003, at the age of 67. Mr. Sinning was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Dexter, attended the First Baptist Church in Dexter, and was a former supervisor for Stites Concrete in Dexter. He was united in marriage to Barbara Chandler on January 14, 1995, in Dexter. Mrs. Sinning survives of the home in Dexter. Besides his wife, he is survived by one son, Bob Sinning of Bartlett, Tenn.; one daughter, Debbie Flitz of Canton, S.D.; one step-son, Joe Sinning of Woodstock, Ill.; one brother, Gary Sinning of Kokomo, Ind.; two sisters, Lois Hyronimus and Mary Lou Jacobs, both of Worthing, S.D.; seven grandchildren, one great-grandson, and two step-grandchildren. Besides his parents, Mr. Sinning was preceded in death by one sister, Jean Brantley. Visitation will be held at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter from 5-8 p.m., Wednesday, July 16, 2003. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m., Thursday, July 17, 2003, in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Rev. Kevin Chenoweth officiating. Interment will be held at 2:30 p.m., Thursday, July 17, 2003, at the Dyer County Memorial Gardens in Dyersburg, Tenn.
